Knocking Mallet

A wooden mallet used to knock in a cricket bat (prepare it for play by opening up the face by repeatedly “knocking” it, hitting it with a mallet tor ball). The mallet is generally preferred over a ball as it gives a standard level of impact and a smooth finish to the bat without any seam marks.
